Rose Quartz Pullover (pattern by Robyn Chachula)
What a shame that you can only get this pattern through the Blueprint Crochet Sweaters book. I wish Interweave would sell these patterns individually. I do not care for the other sweaters in the book, but this pullover is a gem!

Crocheters, get your needles out: The “guerrilla knitters” who go by the name Yarn Bombing Los Angeles have put out a call for hundreds of orange, white, green and cyan granny squares.
This story made my day! Be sure to check this page for the specifications on the type of squares they need.
(I also had an “ugh” moment when I read ‘needles’ and not ‘hooks’.)

This necklace caught my eye, and I love the colors and shapes! It’s great use of crochet to make all those different beads.
It took me a while to find more information about it (lots of people use Pinterest as the source or credit and it drives me crazy!). I know it is a necklace for new moms because the textures and shapes function as something for the baby to focus on. But what I’m not sure of is who credit goes to. I *think* it’s bisiki on Etsy, but I am not certain.
After featuring five objects that integrate beads into crochet, next week we’ll feature objects where crochet is used to create the beads. Have a good weekend!
Cool! We featured five objects that add beads to crochet, but here are some more helpful/useful links:

I love crochet! But I'm also picky. I prefer projects that are cute, sexy, interestingly made, or have a unique application. No shawls or baggy sweaters here.
